Array Numbers Exclusive Option LimeSurvey Plugin

Sometimes you want to limit users to one specific choice – in a row, a column, or both. The Array Numbers Exclusive LimeSurvey plugin makes it easy to define such exclusive options without writing a single line of JavaScript.

This plugin works with the Array (Numbers) question type using the checkbox layout. It introduces a new setting section called Exclusive, where you can define which rows or columns should behave exclusively.

Setup instructions for the Array Numbers Exclusive LimeSurvey Plugin

Firstly, add a new question of type Array Numbers. Secondly, go to the Display settings and enable the checkbox layout.
Once installed, the plugin adds a new setting panel Exclusive on the right-hand side when editing an Array (Numbers) question. This section contains two fields:

a) Exclusive Rows – Add a comma-separated list of Y-scale subquestion codes (e.g. SQ001,SQ002)
b) Exclusive Columns – Add a comma-separated list of X-scale subquestion codes (e.g. SQ005,SQ006)

If a user selects an input in one of the exclusive rows or columns, other inputs in the same row/column will be disabled automatically. You can define exclusive behavior for rows, columns – or a combination of both.

Installation

• Purchase and download the plugin as a ZIP file.
• In LimeSurvey, go to the Plugin Manager and upload the ZIP file.
• Activate the plugin at the LimeSurvey plugin manager.
• The new feature will automatically appear at every Array Numbers question.
